After securing the Woman Trophy in both Italian F4 and Euro4 Championships in the 2023 season, Tina Hausmann will now be representing the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team in F1 Academy for 2024.
The 17-year old racer from Switzerland began karting at a young age before progressing to single-seater racing in 2022, racing in the inaugural season of the Formula Winter series. She competed in 4 out of 8 races, scoring 27 points total and finished 10th in the championship standings. Impressively she placed 4th in her debut race and claimed her first podium in her second race.
In 2023, Hausmann raced in the Italian F4 and Euro4 Championships, but was unable to score points in either series. However, she was the best placed woman in both championships, finishing 40th in Italian F4 as the only full-time competitor for her team AKM Motorsport, and 20th in Euro4, beating Ferrari Driver Academy's Aurelia Nobels.
Hungry for more success, Hausmann joins Prema, who became the inaugural F1 Academy Teams Champion in 2023. Prema is also home to the inaugural Drivers Champion, Marta García, who has now made the move with the team to FRECA for 2024.
Hausman's F1 Academy teammates are yet to be announced as 2023 Prema driver Bianca Bustamante joins ART Grand Prix , García has transitioned to the FRECA series and Chloe Chong's status in F1 Academy for 2024 is yet to be confirmed.

She showed great promise moving her first steps in Formula 4, and we are convinced that with the support of our team, F1 Academy and the Aston Martin Formula One® Team, she will make more progress to become a high-profile contender."
Hausmann added, “F1 Academy is an incredible opportunity for me; it’s an amazing series that I’m proud to be a part of. I know I’ll learn so much that will really help me as a driver, including the experience I’ll gain from racing at seven new tracks in front of big crowds. It’s going to be a whole new world, but I’m so excited to get started. "
Hausmann is also the driver nominated by the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team to represent them in F1 Academy. As of the 2024 season, all 10 F1 teams will have a nominated driver representing them in the series.
The team have stated that they aim to help further develop Hausmann's talent, and she will be working alongside the newly appointed Head of Racing for F1 Academy, Jessica Hawkins. Jessica joined the team in 2021 as a Driver Ambassador and this year became the first woman to drive a modern F1 car in almost five years. Hawkins will be able to share her many years of motorsport experience and knowledge with Hausmann, as well as providing mentorship and support both on and off the track.
Speaking on joining the Aston Martin team, Hausmann stated "Representing the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team in the championship is a huge honour. My first day at the AMR Technology Campus showed me just what an incredible team it is. I am already so comfortable there and can feel everybody’s full support. Having Jessica Hawkins as a mentor is a real benefit, too; she has so much valuable advice to share. Inspiring the next generation of female drivers is something that’s incredibly important to us both. I’m also very proud to be competing with PREMA Racing. PREMA is a team that every young driver hopes to race for – they're the best at what they do - and I know that they’ll help me develop as I continue in my motorsport career.”
Hausmann is the second driver nominated by an F1 team for the \f1 Academy 2024 season, following the announcement in October that Bustamante will be representing McLaren.
The first round of the 2024 F1 Academy season will take place from 7th-9th of March in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
